We warmly welcome Tractus to our group! FoodWorks (then a subsidiary of another company) first worked with Tractus in 2003-04 designing and building a snack food factory for Procter & Gamble in Fujian Province, China (see photo). The Tractus folks provided superb management support and were closely engaged in all aspects of the project. This happy experience led to a close and on-going friendship and when FW was working with the Competitiveness Support Fund (CSF) in Pakistan (2006-09), we recommended that Tractus should undertake a benchmarking study of Special Economic Zones - another job that they did superbly with a Tractus staff member subsequently joining CSF as a senior advisor on a full-time basis. "Tractus" is Latin for "progress" and the company is aptly named to be working in what are now heralded as the most dynamic regions in the world - China, India and South-east Asia. Tractus opened its first office in Bangkok in 1995 as South-east Asia was becoming a prime target for foreign investment. Focusing first on Market Entry Strategy and Industrial Site Selection the Company expanded into management consulting and economic development programs. Clients include major multi-nationals including Accenture, Halliburton and Intel. The Company now has offices in Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Minneapolis, Pondicherry and Shanghai. We look forward to Tractus becoming an important player in Project Partner activities. |
